His name was Incitatus. (His name has nothing to do with inciting a riot.) This was the name of Emperor Caligula’s favorite horse, the one that, legend has it, was ceremoniously lead onto the floor of the Senate.
Emperor Caligula didn’t have morals any higher than President Joe Biden’s but at least he had a sense of humor.
To try former President Donald Trump in unconstitutional impeachment trial with the pretense of removing him from office — a office that he has already vacated — is as absurd as bringing a horse onto the Senate floor. A reductio ad absurdum.
“Article II, Section 4:
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” – U. S. Constitution
(Need I point out that the current president is now President Joe Biden and the Constitution is now therefore referring to him.) What’s more, don’t you realize this is just another ploy by the democrats to distract you from what is really going on – an effort to steal the country by executive action and other high crimes and misdemeanors.
It’s a sleight of hand. Don’t you get it?
I know Trump was mean to you and Heidi. We saw that. But former President Trump has been good for the country and the Constitution. We wanted you for our president in 2016 but Trump wanted it more. He’s a street fighter and he saw you as an obstacle. He had to get you out of the way so he could win the primary. I apologize for that. But you will have your turn.
Continuing with this absurd “trial” will go down in history as your big mistake.
Please don’t go there.
