The left has an interesting way of naming things. The Affordable Healthcare Act isn’t affordable. “Every vote counts” means to someone on the left that we must count votes of people who voted twice or who are dead or who aren’t American citizens. Leftish Newspeak twists everything.
When words lose their meaning, communication halts.
To those of us who aren’t members of BLM, we think, “Of course black lives matter. We honor the voice of everyone, black or white. We hate racism. We want to see racism stamped out in this country.”
But something else seems to be going on here.
Last summer, in the U. S., there were several violent deaths associated with Black Lives Matter.
In July, a woman said “all lives matter” and for that she was shot and killed. Suddenly we are all speechless. With death, the debate has ended and we are lost behind a cloak of fear and confusion.
Violence obliterates the message.
I spoke with an acquaintance of mine from my community — a family man with a good job and a nice home. I asked him if he supports Black Lives Matter.
He said he did.
“Do you think they are a terrorist organization?”
He said no.
“Why do you support them?” I continued.
“It’s for my daughter and the future,” was his answer.
I was puzzled, but didn’t pursue it further.
I read an article this morning that someone was nominating the Black Lives Matter movement for a Nobel Peace Prize.
The person making the nomination is a socialist named Petter Eide from Norway. What would Orwell’s Newspeak have to say about the use of the word “peace” in this instance.
I’m shaking my head. What is going on here?
I would love to hear from you.
