I have been a teacher for many years and have the textbooks that lead seamlessly from one important concept to another, in an elegant procession of ideas.

Lately, my students have come to me with a feeling of frustration because the newer programs are chaotic and unfathomable. This worries me greatly because one of my favorite subjects to teach is math. I love it and I hope my students can feel happiness about it, too.

What has gone wrong?

Congress!

Education is supposed to be local. A teacher teaches the students. You can’t get any more local than that. The federal government should have little or nothing to do with it. I have always wondered why we expect a bunch of lawyers in Congress to know how to teach mathematics. I’ll bet they don’t do very well on standardized tests themselves.

A friend of mine had been a classroom teacher for 35 years. She had a file cabinet of materials, much of which she had created herself. The students were very successful and continued on to the best schools at higher levels.  Education has to be grown and nurtured at every level. Politicians can’t or shouldn’t come in and mandate change.

The “No Child Left Behind Act of 2001” left, as most of my colleagues attested to, every student behind. The act was to provide standardized testing nationwide. Schools with poor performance were punished and this led to teachers greatly modifying their programs and teaching to the test. Never a good thing.

That was democrat Ted Kennedy and republican George W. Bush’s great idea for getting a bill passed that would show they could shake hands across the aisle. It was a feather in both men’s hats. But it and other bills have led the way to educational disaster.

Where are we now? We have the Tower of Babel. We have Singapore math and Russian math and all manner of programs designed to teach math but leave the student dreading and hating the subject I love most.

Good old American math built the Brooklyn Bridge, the Empire State Building, the Golden Gate Bridge, freeways and monuments. American math is clear and thorough and offers each student a complete education, each concept leading seamlessly to the next. The end result is an educated person, even one which may develop each of the higher theories further into the (at present) unknown.

MY FIRST BLOG —
SINCE I GOT DEPRESSED OVER BIDEN BEING SWORE IN AS PRESIDENT.
I haven’t been able to write my blog for about 2 years.
I became alarmed when I realized the Democrats in power may be trying to take over my country. I knew they hoped to, by hook or by crook. But now it seemed as if I might be watching it happen.
It began with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and the democrats tormenting Trump for most of his first term. Then the corona virus hit. In March of 2020, President Trump announced that America may experience a worldwide pandemic. He announced we would all have to wear masks, but hopefully only for three months. I was sad to hear this was happening. It seemed as if some Democratic authority figures were trying to tell the president what to do. I think Mr. Trump was suspicious too otherwise he wouldn’t have said this was for, maybe, three months — trying to limit it like that. I believe he was shutting down the country, asking us to mask up and quarantine for about three months to be on the safe side in case the virus was putting us all in grave danger. He wanted to make sure we were safe. I appreciate that.

But the mandate to wear masks went on and on. Soon I noticed blue states were wearing masks longer than red states, interestingly enough – a good indication this was political, not based on good science.
There were rumors that the virus originated in China, that some scientists had “accidentally” released it while doing research. “Great,” I thought. “Are we victims of biological warfare?”
Learn-ed people told us masks were not effective. Some said the death statistics were exaggerated. My own experience was that a tenant of mine got sick from COVID-19 and he was very sick for four days. Then he suddenly got well. I caught it from him and was sick for a short four hours. Maybe the virus was bad as they were saying. (I do need to note that my son caught COVID-19 and was very ill.) People got sick and died but maybe it wasn’t necessary to shut things down, quarantine or wear masks for months or years.
By early 2020, the presidential campaign was well underway. Trump was amazing as usual inspiring speeches while Biden didn’t show himself much in public. (I guess his handlers thought it would be bad for the poll numbers.)
I watched what was happening carefully and I suspected the Democrats were trying to steal the election, “by any means possible.”
After the votes were counted in November and we were told Biden had won, many of us Republicans weren’t convinced. Attorney Mark Levin and a crew of other attorneys painstakingly reviewed election results from all over the country but it took months. Shenanigans had occurred. But by the time it seemed clear what had happened, the mainstream media mob was in full cover-up mode. “Move along. There’s nothing to see here.” The news of the theft of an election was quickly tossed in the bin with conspiracy theories, alien sightings, ghost stories and myths about the abominable snowman.
I was devastated. This was my country. This was my America.
Couldn’t – wouldn’t — anyone do something about this — ask for a recount or anything?
We were just going to let bad people get away with tampering with an election?
I couldn’t stand it.

To my dismay Biden was sworn in as president. Soon I heard rumors that White House tours would be cancelled and construction was going on at the White House to make it very secure. What? Rumor had it that the White House was being turned into a kind of fortress?
Why? Was it to protect Biden from angry Republicans? I thought pretty hard about this. Why was this happening? No, I thought, the Republicans are gentlemen.
So why the fortress?
Finally, I believed I knew. Bad people were going to be running the government. Democrats, certainly. But maybe someone even worse, the Chinese maybe. What if the Communist Chinese would actually be running the government and Biden was only there as a figurehead?! Someone needed to run the government. I didn’t think Biden was actually capable of running things himself.
Could this be a coup that started shortly after President Trump’s first term? A slow coup culminating with Biden being installed as president?
The mainstream media could be covering for Biden.
If this is possible, I wondered, what will happen next?

Next began an onslaught of attacks against America. I heard that Biden signed a stack of executive orders beginning his first day in office and that the signings went on for six weeks. Biden, although he didn’t even seem to have the mental capacity of a squirrel, was somehow doing things that would result in harming the country.
During that time, Biden cancelled the Keystone Pipeline. He shut down energy sources everywhere. His actions were killing the economy – the great American economy that President Trump had built up — and others before him.
President Trump hadn’t wanted businesses to close. Did President Biden really want businesses to fail?
One of my best friends told me his father had survived the Great Depression. But my friend predicted this would be worse. My friend feared this would be the end of America.

I was in shock and quit writing my blog back in early 2021.

Over two years have gone by.
It’s taken me all this time to get back to it.
I had been silenced.
I had silenced myself.
We’ve all been silenced.
But now, July 23, 2023, I am beginning to have a small feeling of hope.
Under a heap of rubble the United States Constitution is still alive, although admittedly it has suffered a barrage of assaults.
That’s what’s given me the interest in writing again. The Constitution of the United States of America.
It’s still alive. It’s because of the way the Founding Fathers wrote it.

They were brilliant.

This brings me to my next blog.

My family and I are proud to be citizens of the greatest free country in the world — The United States of America. It has just celebrated its 245^th birthday. Long live America!

But the United States of America has recently been under attack by a killer virus that came to us from a communist country where freedom has been crushed.

Reportedly, COVID-19 was cooked up in a laboratory in Wuhan, China. It isn’t a virus found in nature. Certain genetic markers show the virus is manmade. It is suspected that this virus was created as an agent of biological warfare.

We are told the engineered COVID-19 was released to the public in Wuhan accidentally and, from there, it spread by natural means throughout the world.  Whether or not the release and spread were accidental is unknown. But the intent is implied by the virus’ creation.

My young son once said, “There’s nothing scarier than a small thing like a virus or bacteria that can kill something as big as a person.”

We have been told the communists created COVID-19 but we don’t know why. We only know what we have heard second or third hand. We can only speculate.

But if terrorism was the purpose, it was successful. The virus not only made people sick and killed many, the virus also spread fear around the world.

The U. S. has a lot to learn as a nation. We are trusting and naive and young.

Nevertheless we must be smart and prepared. We must arm ourselves against a killer virus and a killer ideology.

We must understand the communist philosophy and learn how to win against it.

In order to fight communism, the U. S. needs strong leadership so other world leaders won’t want to take advantage of us.

For a year, we as a nation sheltered in place.

While we did what we were told, things changed.

We lost great advances in our economy and are now facing a recession or worse.

We have gone from strong leadership under Donald Trump to who knows what.

This is America. We are the beacon for the free world.

The free world is counting on us.

It’s time for us to wake up. It’s not time to be in denial.

We’ve been lied to and lead astray, but the best antidote for fear is information. (Check out KSFO 560 weekdays in CA, for example.).

Have you noticed we are having less fun now?

Democrats are making us wear masks.

We aren’t attending church or hanging out together like we used to.

It’s hard to go to a restaurant and enjoy a nice meal with friends.

Sports are limited.

All experiences are regulated by government.

The democrat media puts out articles to scare us.

We are suspicious of each other.

We laugh less.

We have lost our sense of humor.

Suicides are up.

Drinking is up.

Depression is up.

We need our freedom back!

You’ve heard of the famous short story “The Man Without a Country written by Edward Everett Hale way back in 1863 in the middle of the Civil War? An American Army lieutenant was accused of treason and was forced to live the rest of his life at sea, never being able to see his beloved America again.

Well, this blog is about a country without a man.

At Joseph Biden’s inauguration on January 20, 2021, the United States of America was set adrift like a ghost ship that bas lost its captain. The ship is left to make its way across the waters without a person at the helm. This is because Biden is so out of touch with real America, he refuses to guide the Good Ship America to safe waters.

For weeks and months now, we have been floundering on the shoals of an impossible philosophy. Socialism is the antithesis of everything our country is founded on and will kill the freedoms of every American, no matter the gender, ethnicity, color or what have you. Socialism will sink us all.

Biden has cut us loose from the moorings of the United States Constitution and we are losing our freedoms.

Biden lies and says he is helping us, even uniting us. He pretends to have our  best interests at heart but he is doing everything he can at record speed to sink us.

He cancelled the Keystone XL Pipeline agreement, losing untold jobs and careers. He wants to infringe our right to carry guns,. Our speech has been curtailed by use of social media and “woke,” He isn’t promoting the First Amendment by opening churches. He chooses women, transgenders, and extreme liberals over other qualified Americans. He doesn’t protect our children from the liberal agenda such as abortion and sex change. He has signed a record number of executive orders, circumventing the separation of powers. He has invited illegals to flood the southern border causing a major crisis for health, housing and the economy. He is not protecting the vote from fraud. He has greatly increased the national debt. He has turned health matters over to the untrustworthy World Health Organization. He disrespects and ridicules conservative Americans and calls them racists no matter what color of skin they have.. He seems to be attracted to anything un-American, global, and extra-Constitutional. He loves the Green New Deal, socialized medicine, and senseless reparations. He is kicking a hole in the side of our ship.
 

And what’s going on in D. C.? Biden seems to be afraid. He is holed up in his D. C. compound  Why are there so many national guards at the capital?

Do we need protection from him or him from us? Or from whom?

Our country is in the shoals, has hit a sandbar, and is taking on water.

And word is Biden is building his legacy. What? He’s ruining everything. Doesn’t he know that? This is no legacy. He will go down in history as even worse than Obama. He will be hated like a communist dictator.

Biden has only been in office a few months and already we need to be rescued.

Who will rescue us?

If America goes down, Americans of every race, gender and color will go down.

This is not about race. It’s about survival. .

We will all be lost together.

Biden is not acting like an elected president. He’s acting like a dictator. Or an auctioneer. Or something really evil. And scary.

I miss being under good leadership.                         

This is like no leadership at all.

Dear Reader, I apologize. I haven’t written lately. This has all been too horrible. I will try to do better.

We don’t have a mainstream media that hires journalists right now.

We have CNN and others. They are not helpful.

So, it’s hard to get the truth out.

Here are some brainstorm ideas.

Let’s raise money to do more billboards to advertise conservative thought.

KSFO radio is great during the week, but how about weekends? We can get the conservative word out on weekends, too. Maybe that will pull in another sector. We can raise money to buy time and replace the paid weekend info-mercials. .

Enough Rush Limbaugh (We love you rush but good-bye) and Armstrong and Getty already. Let’s get Mark Stein or Dan Bongino or other wonderful articulate hosts to take the AM slots on weekday mornings. .

My blog has been buried. Maybe other conservative blogs have been, too. I have begun advertising to hope to bring my blog more to the front.

Let’s do whatever we can. This is our country. This is our world. This is our time.

Let me just say that under Democratic rule the county and the world has gone dark.

When President Trump was in office the sun came out.

The contrast is stark!

Remember when Obama was president? I am a teacher and had to undergo the training for how to help a student suffering from Ebola before the first responders arrived. Scary.

The training was scary and also full of nonsence (because it’s a government program and therefore not clearly scientific).

One of my comments at the time was that the teachers are the “first responders.” The presenters didn’t like that. I was off-script.

The scary part for me was that our president was allowing people with Ebola to come into the country. No one should do that!

Luckily we stomped Ebola out and haven’t heard from it since. (I hope the dems aren’t holding a vial somewhere in Atlanta.)

But I am reminded now of how COVID-19 has brought into the country.

I believe we are victims of biological warfare and have been for some time (since approximately 2008). maybe earlier. (Let’s look back at pandemics versus political actions at some point. I don’t know if anyone is asking that question.)

I believe this latest pandemic helped President Trump to lose the election.

It has been given several names. How about the democrat flu?

Was this pandemic a political action?
